2026 EDF Call

Zetor Engineering Slovakia, a.s., as the intellectual property owner of the DV-2 turbofan engine, has applied for the 2026 European Defence Fund (EDF) call. The company aims to secure funding for a development study of a “New Turbofan Engine (Research Action) – EDF-2026-LS-RA-SI-ENERENV-NTFE.” Through this call, the EU targets the development of a new turbofan engine (25–35 kN) for unmanned aircraft and Loyal Wingman systems. The focus is on reducing the EU’s strategic dependence, supporting European technological sovereignty, and integrating advanced sensors.
